An ICO, or Initial Coin Offering, is a way for crypto projects to raise funds by selling new tokens before they’re listed on exchanges. These often require the use of non-custodial wallets, where the user controls the private keys.
CoinZoom wallets are custodial, meaning the private keys are held by CoinZoom, so participating in an ICO directly from a CoinZoom wallet is not supported. Sending funds from a custodial wallet may result in lost tokens, which may not be recoverable.
To participate in an ICO, use a non-custodial wallet that supports the token’s blockchain. Be sure to verify the legitimacy of the project beforehand. While CoinZoom does not support ICOs, some tokens may be listed on the platform after launch.
